The magic started on a hot Friday night in July of 2011. A group of friends came together for a night of Chicago's favorite past-time, whirlyball, in celebration of their mutual friend Frank's birthday. Lauren and Greg were thrilled to see each other since they had really hit it off at a party months earlier. Upon seeing each other, Lauren gave Greg a big hug that would put a bear to shame and Greg couldn't stop smiling all night. Shortly into the evening, Greg asked Lauren to be his date to a group dinner with friends. They had a blast together on their first date (pictured below!) and it was the beginning of many nights spent together exploring Chicago's neighborhoods and restaurants, watching movies in the park, going to concerts, and falling in love with each other. They quickly realized they had something special--they shared a feeling that was stomach-flipping exciting yet totally comfortable. A love without limits!

Greg had just found out his patent was official and Lauren planned an evening of fun dedicated to Greg's genius achievement. The celebration started at home by popping a bottle of champagne and Lauren surprised Greg with 2 confetti poppers - one for them each to make a wish on. They looked out at the city from their Piloffice (Pilates Studio / Office), made a toast and a silent wish. As the confetti danced around the room Greg asked Lauren if he could tell her his wish. Lauren abruptly told Greg you can't tell your wish unless it comes true... but Greg was already in motion reaching for a small box in his desk drawer. Greg got down on one knee and said "My wish is for you to say yes to this question - will you marry me?!" Lauren jumped up and down and in a high pitched burst said yes! The champagne and dinner reservations that were all meant for Greg's achievement turned into their engagement celebration as they called family and friends to share the exciting news - we're getting married!
